Nurture - A Mother's Day Message

Children planting seedlings at A Special Place Therapeutic Preschool.

MAY 2021

Dear Friend,

When local families in need call our 24/7 Domestic Violence Crisis Hotline, begin therapy or enroll their little ones in our therapeutic preschool, the nurturing relationship begins. Our role in this community is to support families living in abusive situations by offering refuge in our confidential Safe House shelter, resources and support for safety planning and specialized therapy services for family members of all ages.

Preschoolers, like ours featured on the cover of this card, not only heal and catch up on their social and emotional growth, they too learn how to nurture. It is in healing that families in our care are nurtured and begin lives free of violence and abuse.

Mother’s Day is a time to reflect on the people who have nurtured us throughout our lives. With your generous gift of financial support, you can help us nurture local families in our care.

Please stay healthy and safe,
Madeleine Keegan O’Connell
Chief Executive Officer
