Dear Friend,

Since 1976, YWCA Sonoma County has been the singular and vital provider of comprehensive services for families experiencing violence in the place we should all feel safest, inside our own homes. Our 24/7 DV Crisis Hotline is the ONLY one in Sonoma County and we answer it within the walls of our confidential Safe House shelter, also the ONLY one of its kind in Sonoma County.

HEAR FROM THOSE WE HAVE SERVED:

"Living in the Safe House felt like a warm blanket when I was always cold before." -- Carmen, mom of three*

"If it weren't for these programs, I don't know where I would be right now." -- Wendy, Safe House resident*

"Before I got to the Safe House, my baby was having a hard time breathing, sleeping, and eating.
Now he sleeps, eats, smiles, and is progressing so much more." -- Melissa, mom to Noah*

"Using baby steps, my therapist helped me see the light again, when it had been dark for so long." -- Gabrielle, DV survivor*

(*To maintain confidentiality, the names have been changed to protect identity.)

Nationally, and locally, one in four families will be impacted by the devastating effects of domestic violence. That’s a lot of people you and I both know.

Please show you support YWCA’s mission to keep local families safe from harm by making a donation to fund our hotline and shelter operations.

Your help is crucial to our efforts. Together, we can provide a future without violence for every family in need.

Warmly,

Madeleine Keegan O’Connell
Chief Executive Officer
