YWCA Sonoma County

Therapy Services

The YWCA Therapy Program has partnered with Community Family Services Agency to provide individual therapy services to YWCA clients.

Mothers and children at our Safe House and participants in the Adobe Program have the opportunity to attend individual counseling sessions.  Through attending therapy, as well as support group, participants receive support, education and confidence that enable them to break the cycle of violence. Women and men who are experiencing abuse in their relationships can work with our therapists for short-term crisis counseling.

In addition to individual therapy services, children at A Special Place participate in "Group Soup," a group therapy program specializing in identifying, naming and expressing feelings. Both individual and group therapy are run by MFT Interns from Community Family Services agency.
